DACC APRIL 2016 FEATURE CAR

All In The Family

Joe and Nancy joined the Dallas Area Classic Chevys in 2014 after relocating to Texas from Arizona. They wanted to follow their family here (Joe Jr, wife Shawn and their sons) and settled on a nice piece of property in Justin that has 2 homes and shares a large 4 car garage. There is always activity in the garages with multiple projects involving the young Angelini boys.

Joe Sr spent 30 years in Arizona and he was involved with the local car clubs there.  Joe was a long standing Board Member of the Vintage Chevy Car Club in the Central Arizona region and is now a member of the Lone Star affiliate here in Texas.

Once you see Joe at one of the club events you will soon realize that he talks funny and certainly did not come from Arizona!  After growing up in Brooklyn, New York and retiring from the NYPD he went west.  He has owned numerous old cars over the years and always loved the rust free Arizona cars.  One of his oldest possessions is his 1923 Chevrolet Superior Touring Car and the 1955 Chevy has always been a favorite.

Joe acquired his ‘55 Chevy in 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona.  The car is a work in progress but is driven regularly.  This Bel Air is 100% rust free, having spent most of its life in Arizona.  Joe had the ‘55 finished in a PPG Daytona Blue Pearl and had all the chrome redone.  The power comes from 350 small block Chevy engine, transmission is a Turbo 400 and Vintage Air, power steering and brakes finish out the car.  Joe chose the American Racing vintage torq- thrust wheels to complement the shoebox nicely!
